Kelvin FletcherKelvin Fletcher (plays Andy Sugden in Emmerdale) "I am proud to be a supporter of The Honey Rose Foundation and the fantastic work that they do. Please get involved if you can."

Our mission is simple...

"To provide a memorable day for people who are suffering from a life threatening or terminal illness. To give them a special day or weekend to remember and enjoy."

The HoneyRose foundation is a registered charity dedicated to raising money and organising special days for terminally ill people 40 years and above.

"Our lives are like the course of the sun. At the darkest moment there is the promise of daylight." London Time editorial, Dec 24 1984

The charity was set up in memory of three special people. All friends of Lynn Duffy (founder), they all died of a terminal illness. Nicola Honey passed away aged 21 of a rare ovarian cancer, Karen White was 27 when she lost her battle with a brain tumor and Rose Clark fought lung cancer until she was aged 57. This is their legacy.

Many people who are suffering from a terminal illness find themselves in straightened circumstances through an inability to work themselves and through partners having to stop work to provide care at home. They suffer from stress and poor quality of life which adds to their suffering.

By enabling people to spend a memorable experience, day or weekend with their family, we help alleviate their suffering, improve their quality of life, and provide the family with a great deal of pleasure, and a lasting memory of their loved one.

Our work has developed from personal experience of loss, and we have worked with the families of those who have lost their loved ones to set up the charity, and continue to involve those who benefit and their families in its development. We also work with a variety of agencies, charities and support groups, including Cancer Support Trust, Carers' Centres and the Willow Foundation. If you would like to donate to the Foundation, or even raise money in your own way, please read on or contact us on the links above.
